Why Does Water Taste Bad? The Secret to Fixing This Common Problem

Why does water taste bad?  It can all be summed up into one word: turbidity.  The turbidity is what makes water taste bad, but thankfully there is an easy fix to this problem, which this article explains...

So what is turbidity?  It's the cloudiness or haziness that's caused by individual particles, sediment, and suspended solids that are generally invisible to the the human eye.  A good comparison to turbidity in water is smoke in the air; you can't always see it, but it's still there.

These microscopic particles and sediment comes from various human and environmental activities like water runoff from rain storms and floods, pollution, construction, paving, and any other activity that causes these particles to fly through the air.  These particles eventually land in some sort of water and get carried into underground aquifers or the public tap system.

Now even though these particles and sediment can be harmful and make water taste bad, there are certain levels of turbidity that are allowed in tap water.  For this reason alone, it's a good idea not to drink straight from the tap.

Instead, you can easily install a point-of-use faucet filtration system in your home.  Not only can filters remove all the sediment and particles that cause turbidity and stop making your water taste bad, they can also remove more dangerous contaminants like chlorine, lead, synthetic chemicals, cysts, and other chlorine-resistant organisms.

And if you're thinking that one of these units is super-expensive, think again.  Here's the trick: get one straight from the manufacturer on the Internet instead of paying high mark-up prices at a store.  Plus, most filters sold at stores are of  low quality, and even end up being very expensive in the long-run.

The best filtering systems that remove turbidity and other contaminates in water use a multi-stage filtration process.  By breaking down the whole process into individual stages, the maximum amount of each contaminant can be removed before it's consumed.

And check it's documentation too.  Most companies will attack you with all these outrageous claims about what their product can do, but they never back it up with results because they avoid putting it through vigorous tests before releasing it to the public.  If they did test their product, there's no reason they would not share the results with potential customers; that is, unless they're trying to hide something.

So why does water taste bad?  Turbidity!  How can you fix the problem?  By installing an effective, yet affordable filtration system in your home.  To show how affordable these things can be, my family and I have one that produces a gallon of pure, safe, healthy drinking water for only 9 cents a gallon.  Plus, it's been rated #1 filtration system by Consumer Digest for 6 years running!
